Veterinary Assistant
Evelyn is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant who has been with Banfield since 2013. She brings extensive experience and a compassionate approach to her role, supporting veterinary teams and ensuring high-quality care for every patient. Evelyn is cross-trained across multiple areas including reception, exam rooms, surgery, and treatment, and is skilled in sample collection, in-house diagnostics, surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, pharmacy management, and workflow efficiency.
Evelyn is passionate about fear-free, low-stress handling and restraint techniques, especially for fearful or aggressive patients. She prioritizes client education and communication, empowering pet owners to make informed decisions that improve outcomes and build trust. Her commitment to compassionate care is supported by strong emotional intelligence and a focus on creating a positive, safe environment for both pets and veterinary staff.
Outside of work, Evelyn enjoys a rich and active personal life. She is an active member of her church community, which keeps her grounded and centered. She loves karaoke and comedy shows for the joy and connection they bring. Physically active, Evelyn often plays rugby, works out, or swims. She also enjoys quieter hobbies like reading and arts and crafts, which allow her to recharge and express creativity. A food enthusiast, Evelyn delights in exploring new restaurants and experimenting in the kitchen, especially converting traditional recipes into vegan versions.
Evelyn cares deeply about making every pet interaction safer, kinder, and more compassionate—not only for animals but also for the people who love and care for them.
